Edmonds 5th annual Move4Mona Walk raises 20,000

The 5th annual Move4Mona 5K Walk attracted over 50 participants at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, raising more than $20,000 for the Mona Foundation. Founded in 1999, the foundation has partnered with 41 grassroots organizations globally, impacting over five million students. This year, the event reached a broader audience by being held in eight countries and 60 cities in the U. S. and Canada.

Shiva Riddell, founder of the Edmonds Move4Mona Walk, highlighted the celebration of movement and community engagement. The foundation's core beliefs focus on the oneness of humanity and the right to participate in community development. Riddell expressed pride in the local leadership team, noting their crucial role in the event's growth. Special guests included consuls from Japan and Korea, underscoring its international appeal. Donations continue to be collected, further supporting educational initiatives worldwide.
