Kids get planting at annual Edmonds in Bloom event

Edmonds, WALocal News

Edmonds in Bloom hosted its annual Kids Plant Day on May 10, 2025, at the Edmonds Museum Saturday Market, encouraging children to create potted plants as Mother’s Day gifts. Each participant received a beach pail and stickers, selecting three plants to nurture in the soil. Adults could buy raffle tickets for a chance to win a trip for two to destinations including London, Paris, Rome, or Istanbul, enhancing community involvement. The event underscores the importance of gardening education for youth and local biodiversity. Edmonds in Bloom has been promoting gardening and environmental stewardship since its inception.

The raffle aims to raise funds for future community gardening projects. Tickets for the raffle are available online, providing a convenient option for participants. This initiative not only engages families but also strengthens community ties through shared activities.
