This year’s Find Waldo Local event in Edmonds runs from July 1-30, aiming to boost local business visibility and community engagement. Businesses interested in participating must contact Edmonds Bookshop by May 26, with the first 50 to respond securing a spot on the official passport. Participants must be within walking distance of the bookshop and maintain weekend hours in July. Non-qualifying businesses can still join by hiding Waldo and providing a bonus stamp. Since its inception in 2012, the program has involved hundreds of bookstores and thousands of local businesses nationwide.

The scavenger hunt culminates in a Waldo celebration on July 31, encouraging collaboration among local businesses through sponsorships or donations. Community involvement is pivotal for the event's success, fostering a stronger local economy. The initiative highlights the importance of supporting local commerce while providing fun for families and children.
