Edmonds College Art Gallery spring exhibition showcases student artists

Edmonds College Art Gallery will host its spring exhibition, the Student Art Show, from May 9 to June 20 on the third floor of Lynnwood Hall. The exhibition features the work of four student artists: Yazmine Hoelscher, Sam Rimado, Jesus Sanchez Cruz, and Liu Watson, showcasing a variety of artistic mediums and concepts. Some artists have designed new installations to transform the gallery space into a vibrant representation of their artistic voices. Audineh Asaf, chair of the art department, commended the artists for their dedication to growth and experimentation. The opening reception on May 9 will run from 2:30 to 4 p.

m. and will include live performances and artist demonstrations, enhancing community interaction with the art. The exhibition aims to celebrate personal and collective expression through art. In addition to mixed media and painting, students may incorporate photography and video into their collections. This initiative highlights the college's commitment to nurturing young artists and fostering an appreciation for the arts within the community.
