House of Wisdom students and tutors of the month for April 2025

The My Neighborhood News Network has launched a partnership with the House of Wisdom, a nonprofit organization based in Lynnwood that supports immigrant students. This initiative aims to monthly feature local youth and their aspirations, reinforcing community ties. This month, sixth grader Jacob, who enjoys math and is learning algebraic expressions, and Yoel, who has a passion for cooking and history, are highlighted. Tutors Kiet, pursuing a nursing degree, and Tarak, an engineering freshman, are committed to helping these students succeed academically. Kiet specializes in algebra and has developed a passion for the subject through tutoring, while Tarak focuses on making math understandable and enjoyable.

The program not only enhances students' confidence but also strengthens the local community. By spotlighting these individuals, the partnership emphasizes the critical role educational support plays for immigrant families. This initiative showcases how local organizations can positively impact youth aspirations.
