May 21 deadline to sign up for 10K heat pump subsidies

The Kicking Gas campaign in Washington has set a May 21 deadline for homeowners in Island and Snohomish Counties to apply for subsidies of up to $10,000 for home electrification appliances. Launched in 2022, the initiative recently received a $1. 5 million grant from the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates program, aimed at supporting energy-efficient upgrades. Seven information sessions, including four online, will assist applicants in understanding the application process and eligibility requirements. Homeowners can also take a survey at kickgasnow.

org to determine their eligibility for benefits. The program focuses on electric home retrofits, which are essential for reducing carbon emissions and promoting energy efficiency.
