Edmonds, WALocal News

The Edmonds Food Bank is set to host a spring open house on Sunday, April 27, from 2-4 p. m. , welcoming community members to engage in various activities designed to bolster local support. Attendees can tour the food bank, assist in bagging oats and rice, and learn about the "Thrive Together" campaign, which aims to construct a new facility for the food bank. With a pressing need for food donations, items such as protein bars, canned soups, and low-sugar cereals will be collected, either from vehicles or inside the facility.

In a unique collaboration, the Shoreline Tool Library will also accept donations of new and gently used tools, further encouraging community involvement. Casey Davis, the food bank's Executive Director, underscores the significance of this partnership in enhancing access to vital resources for families. This event not only fosters a sense of community but also emphasizes the importance of sustainability through the tool donation initiative. Attendees are invited to connect with their neighbors while serving a shared purpose of support and growth. For more details, visit the Edmonds Food Bank website.
