Angela Harris, the Executive Director of the Port of Edmonds, has officially resigned, with her departure set for June 9, 2025. In her resignation email, Harris expressed her love for the port and its dedicated staff but indicated a need for a leadership group that aligns with her principles. She also highlighted the importance of the port's upcoming public master planning process, emphasizing that the future will be significantly influenced by the port commissioners' actions. Harris called for reflection within the commission to drive meaningful change, urging them to prioritize trust, respect, and community-centered goals.

Deputy Executive Director Brandon Baker will serve as the acting executive director during this transitional phase. Commission President David Preston acknowledged Harris's contributions, noting the port's significant growth under her leadership. The port commission plans to announce further details regarding the leadership transition as they develop.
