Sno-King School Retirees announce 2025 scholarship recipients

The Sno-King School Retirees Association has proudly awarded two $2,500 scholarships to outstanding seniors from the Edmonds School District, aimed at fostering future educators. Kera Croft, set to graduate from Edmonds-Woodway High School, plans to major in secondary education with a focus on English at the University of Vermont. Her impressive track record includes excelling in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and engaging in various extracurricular activities, such as Edmonds Heights Performing Arts and serving as Worthy Advisor for Rainbow Girls. Colin McGuire, another deserving recipient from Meadowdale High School, has demonstrated exceptional leadership as ASB president and captain of both the Hi-Q team and the tennis team. His future aspirations include attending the University of California, Berkeley, to pursue a degree in history education.

The scholarships not only support their immediate educational needs but are also renewable for three additional years, providing each student with $1,000 annually. This initiative highlights the importance of investing in future educators, ensuring that these promising students receive the support they need to succeed. The Sno-King School Retirees Association continues to play a vital role in nurturing the next generation of teachers.
