Mountlake Terrace High Robotics team headed to World Championships

The Chill Out robotics team from Mountlake Terrace High School is set to represent the Edmonds School District at the FIRST Championships in Houston, Texas, from April 16-19. This marks their third consecutive year qualifying for the prestigious event, where they will compete with 600 teams globally using their latest robot, “SubZero. ” This season has been particularly successful, with Chill Out earning two District Event Winner blue banners, the Innovation in Control Award, and a spot as District Championship Finalist. Their impressive record of 46 wins and 7 losses has placed them 14th in the world rankings out of nearly 3,700 teams. Alongside 22 other Pacific Northwest teams, they aim to showcase their skills and commitment to STEM education.
