Brier Terrace Middle School students bring home awards from Spokane conference

Brier Terrace Middle School's STEM students showcased their talents at the 2025 Washington Technology Student Association Conference in Spokane, where they competed against 2,800 students in over 84 different events. With 22 students participating across 13 competitions, the school achieved remarkable success, with 16 students placing in the top five. Notably, Asher Seitz earned first place in Career Prep, while the Biotechnology team, including Josie Franklin, Shriya Gautam, Bella Rei, and Kayla Towne, also secured a first-place finish. Other standout performances came from Landon Voetmann and his team, who triumphed in Medical Technology. These accomplishments highlight the importance of STEM education in nurturing leadership skills and innovation among young students.

The event not only fosters competition but also encourages collaboration and creativity. As schools increasingly focus on STEM curricula, Brier Terrace’s success serves as an inspiring example for other institutions.
