Multiple Sclerosis Donor Closet seeks volunteers

Edmonds, WALocal News

The Multiple Sclerosis Helping Hands (MSHH) Donor Closet in Edmonds is actively seeking volunteers for various roles, including customer service, delivery drivers, and equipment technicians. This nonprofit organization, recognized as a 501(c)(3), is dedicated to assisting individuals with Multiple Sclerosis who face financial challenges by providing refurbished medical equipment at a minimal donation cost. Richard Marin, the president of MSHH, highlights the profound satisfaction volunteers gain from contributing to a cause that significantly enhances the lives of those with disabilities. Volunteer shifts are available Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a. m.

to 3 p. m. , with most volunteers committing to two to four shifts per month. The organization also welcomes individuals who enjoy cleaning and sanitizing equipment, as well as those skilled in repairing items such as wheelchairs and hospital beds. Importantly, no prior experience with medical equipment is required, making this opportunity accessible to a wide range of community members.

With the majority of proceeds going directly to support MSHH's mission, volunteers play a vital role in improving the independence and quality of life for those affected by MS. For more information on volunteering, interested individuals can visit the MSHH website or call their contact number.
