The Edmonds Waterfront Center (EWC) will officially take over the operation of Shore Pine Coffee and Gelato on April 1, rebranding it as Common Grounds. CEO Daniel Johnson expressed excitement about building on the café's existing success, stating that fostering social connections is central to the EWC's mission. Feedme Hospitality, which has managed Shore Pine since its opening, will provide technical support and contribute equipment during the transition, as noted by CEO Shubert Ho. Customers can look forward to a familiar experience with beloved drinks and food offerings, including $1 drip coffee for EWC members. Senior barista Ali Jewell will lead the team at Common Grounds, ensuring continuity for regular patrons.

EWC's Chief Operations Officer, Robin Ullman, will oversee operations, leveraging her culinary expertise. This collaboration reflects a growing trend where nonprofits partner with local businesses to enhance community services, creating a more vibrant local economy.
