House of Wisdom students and tutors of the month for March 2025

Edmonds, WALocal News

The My Neighborhood News Network has launched an inspiring partnership with the House of Wisdom, a nonprofit in Lynnwood dedicated to uplifting immigrant students. This initiative aims to showcase the aspirations and achievements of local youth and their dedicated tutors each month. This month’s highlights include Sandra, a creative student with dreams of becoming an engineer, and Susana, who finds joy in drawing and reading. Both students from Olivia Park School in Everett have demonstrated significant growth in their English skills during their time at the House of Wisdom. The tutors, Ellie and Natally, reflect a strong commitment to community service, with Ellie focusing on making education accessible through technology and Natally aspiring to become a physician.

Their stories not only celebrate individual accomplishments but also emphasize the broader impact of community organizations in supporting underrepresented groups. The initiative serves as a reminder of the vital role of education in shaping futures. Through these monthly features, the House of Wisdom continues to foster a sense of belonging and empowerment among its students.
