Prep softball High-flying Warriors earn extra-inning victory over Everett

After starting their season with three impressive wins, the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors fastpitch softball team faced a tough 11-2 loss to the Glacier Peak Grizzlies. This defeat proved to be a turning point, as the Warriors quickly regained their momentum with a thrilling 6-3 extra-inning victory over the Everett Seagulls. The game was characterized by a remarkable ninth inning where the Warriors capitalized on 13 walks issued by Seagull pitching. Senior Abby McCorvey played a crucial role by executing a surprise steal that led to a dramatic scoring spree. Pitchers Helena Marsh and Ella Campbell excelled, combining for a dominant performance on the mound.

Coach Josh McClure praised his team's resilience and their ability to respond positively to setbacks.
