The City of Edmonds is launching a small grants program through its Diversity and Arts Commissions to support community initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. Local non-profit organizations and individuals can apply for grants of up to $500, with a total funding pool of $2,600 available for the second half of 2021. Applications must be submitted by April 21, 2021, and projects must be completed by December 31, 2021. The program aims to harness local creativity and energy to enhance community engagement. Eligible projects can include various artistic endeavors, such as performances, visual art exhibits, and community gatherings.

A subcommittee of commission members will review applications and make funding recommendations at their May meetings. Grant recipients will be informed shortly after May 10, allowing them time to plan their projects. This initiative reflects the city's commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment for all residents.
