Edmonds, WALocal News

The City of Edmonds has launched an Equity Toolkit for Businesses, developed by the Edmonds Diversity Commission to promote equity and justice within the local business community. This initiative recognizes the essential role businesses play in fostering an inclusive environment. The toolkit includes an Edmonds Pledge of Equity and various resources to help business owners assess their practices and identify areas for improvement. It also features a curated list of books, workbooks, websites, and podcasts focused on dismantling racism and promoting diversity. The toolkit is designed as a "living document," with future updates planned to enhance its usefulness. Overall, this initiative represents a significant step toward creating a more equitable and welcoming community for all residents and visitors.
