Community Complete Survey - Edmonds Hwy 99 Signs

Edmonds, WALocal News

The City of Edmonds is actively engaging its community to shape the design of new gateway signs along Highway 99 through an online survey. The initiative follows a community workshop held on August 4, 2021, aimed at gathering insights into what residents value about their city. Open until September 15, 2021, the survey is designed to collect feedback on the conceptual layout of the signs, which are intended to enhance the city's identity. This project is part of the larger Highway 99 Revitalization & Gateway initiative, which will also improve safety by transforming the existing two-way left turn lane into a landscaped median with designated left turn pockets. The city plans to complete the design phase by early 2022, with construction slated for late 2022.

Residents are encouraged to participate, as their input will be instrumental in guiding the project. For further information, the city has provided contact details for Mr. Bertrand Hauss, who can assist with inquiries and language assistance services. This community-driven approach underscores the city's commitment to incorporating local voices into urban development projects.
