Public Meeting Elm Way Walkway Improvements

The City of Edmonds is set to hold an online public meeting on December 16, 2021, from 6 PM to 7 PM to discuss the Elm Way Walkway Improvements project. This initiative aims to enhance pedestrian safety by adding a new 5-foot wide sidewalk and installing curb and gutter on the south side of Elm Way between 8th Ave and 9th Ave/100th Ave. As part of the improvements, the city plans to remove the eastbound right-turn lane at the intersection of 9th Ave/100th Ave, which will streamline traffic flow and improve safety for pedestrians. Additionally, stormwater management systems will be upgraded, and pedestrian crossings at 8th Ave, 100th Ave, and Coronado Pl will be enhanced. City staff will provide information about the project and answer any questions during the meeting.

Community feedback is highly encouraged, as it plays a crucial role in shaping the project. Interested participants can join via Zoom, and access information is provided in the announcement.
