Diversity Commission Offering Small Grants to Promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Edmonds, WALocal News

The City of Edmonds Diversity Commission has officially opened the application window for small grants designed to enhance community engagement in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Grants of up to $500 are accessible to individuals and local not-for-profit organizations, with eligible projects ranging from storytelling and poetry slams to art exhibits and discussion groups. The deadline for grant applications is July 15, 2022, and submissions should be sent via email to Megan Luttrell. Given the current pandemic, projects can be either virtual or in-person, depending on restrictions at the time. A subcommittee from the Commission will evaluate the applications, with recommendations to be made during the August meeting.

Successful applicants will be informed soon after August 3, allowing ample time for the planning and execution of their projects. All projects must be completed by December 31, 2022. This initiative represents the Commission's commitment to harnessing local enthusiasm for promoting inclusivity within the Edmonds community.
