Open House - 76th220th Intersection Improvements

Edmonds, WALocal News

The City of Edmonds is inviting residents to an Open House on December 1, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, to discuss the 76th Ave. W and 220th St. SW Intersection Improvement Project. This event will take place in the Edmonds Public Works Building, providing an opportunity for community members to learn about the project's current status, which is at 30% design completion. The project primarily aims to enhance traffic flow and safety for all users, including pedestrians and cyclists.

Proposed improvements include the addition of left turn lanes, wider sidewalks, and a new traffic signal system, along with lighting enhancements and ADA curb ramp upgrades. Utility improvements are also on the agenda, focusing on stormwater and water line upgrades, with potential plans to relocate existing overhead utility lines underground. Residents can engage with project manager Bertrand Hauss for further inquiries or language assistance. This initiative reflects the City’s commitment to improving local infrastructure and community safety. Feedback from the Open House will be instrumental in shaping the final design and implementation of the project.
