City Announces Let's Ride Edmonds Campaign

Edmonds, WALocal News

The City of Edmonds has launched the "Let's Ride Edmonds" campaign as part of Washington Transit Month, encouraging residents to explore various modes of transportation, including transit, ferries, and light rail. Community Transit has generously provided 200 ORCA cards specifically for youth aged 18 and under to facilitate their participation. Residents are invited to snap photos or videos with their ORCA cards while using public transport and share these online for a chance to win prizes. The campaign runs through June 30, aligning with summer travel trends and promoting sustainable transportation. In addition, adults who do not have an ORCA card can reach out to the city for assistance in obtaining a free card, which includes a one-month regional pass.

This initiative not only targets youth but also aims to foster community engagement by welcoming transit stories from all ages. The City encourages residents to engage with their social media platforms to share their transit experiences. Overall, the campaign highlights the city's commitment to sustainability and public transportation advocacy.
