Light rail schedule changing to accommodate Pinehurst Station construction

Edmonds, WALocal News

Link light rail service in the Seattle area will experience changes due to ongoing construction at Pinehurst Station, with modified schedules set to take effect from March 24 to April 13 and again from April 28 to May 29. During weekday evenings, northbound trains will run every 12 minutes starting at 5:30 p. m. from Angle Lake station, while southbound service will follow the same schedule beginning at 6:45 p. m.

from Lynnwood City Center. On weekends, trains will operate at the same 12-minute frequency. These adjustments are necessary as crews work on installing staircases at both ends of the platforms, moving closer to the station's anticipated opening. Passengers should be aware that during the first construction period, they should use the Lynnwood City Center platform for service in both directions, while the Angle Lake platform will be designated for the second phase. Given that weather conditions could affect construction timelines, riders are strongly encouraged to sign up for alerts to stay informed.

This expansion project is significant for future Pinehurst riders, with the potential for trains to operate every four minutes once completed, enhancing regional connectivity.
