Edmonds, WALocal News

Snohomish County Elections is organizing four candidate workshops throughout April to facilitate the process for those interested in running for local office in 2025. These informative sessions will cover essential aspects such as candidate filing requirements, important deadlines, and submissions for the Local Voters’ Pamphlet. With more than 180 local offices available for election, the candidate filing week is scheduled from May 5 to May 9, with an emphasis on online filing. To further support candidates, a campaign finance seminar will be conducted on April 26, focusing on the financial disclosures required for campaigns. Snohomish County Auditor Garth Fell stated that the workshops aim to make the filing process more accessible, especially for newcomers.

Three workshops will be held in person, with one virtual session available via Zoom. Registration is encouraged but not mandatory, and recordings will be provided for those who cannot attend. Additional resources, including the 2025 Candidate Guide, are accessible on the Snohomish County Elections website.
