Sound Transit spring 2025 service changes to Link light rail and Express buses
Sound Transit is set to implement significant service changes in Spring 2025 that aim to enhance the performance of bus and rail services. One of the most anticipated updates is the opening of the Link 2 Line extension to Downtown Redmond, which will facilitate trains arriving every 10 minutes and introduce two new stations: Downtown Redmond and Marymoor Village. Additionally, the full restoration of service on Pierce Transit-operated ST Express services will include various schedule adjustments designed to improve reliability. Effective March 29, changes will be made to routes 510, 512, 513, 515, 522, 532, 535, and others, with some routes receiving additional trips. A new bus loop at the Federal Way Downtown Station will also commence operations on March 30, impacting routes 574, 577, 578, 580, 586, and 590.
These changes reflect Sound Transit’s proactive approach to meet ridership demands and optimize service efficiency.
