David Allen Rice Remembered for his kindness, quick wit, love of family

David Allen Rice, a cherished resident of Mountlake Terrace, passed away on March 12, 2025, after a prolonged battle with health issues. Born in Seattle, Washington, he led an adventurous childhood that took him around the globe, graduating from high school in Walla Walla. His service in the U. S. Navy from 1978 to 1982 as a photographer marked a significant chapter in his life.

After returning home, Dave settled in Edmonds, where he met his wife, Karin, and together they raised their children, Katelyn and Christopher. Known for his kindness, quick wit, and a vast collection of quirky trivia, he left a lasting impact on all who knew him. After working at Olympic Brakes, he retired in 2021 due to health complications, but his legacy of love and laughter continues. A celebration of life is scheduled for April 13, 2025, at Edmonds Church of God, inviting family and friends to honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Edmonds Church of God in his name to further commemorate his spirit.
