Applications open for 2026 Edmonds Lodging Tax Fund awards

The City of Edmonds has announced that applications for the Lodging Tax Fund awards are now open, targeting events and programs that will attract visitors in 2026. Nonprofit arts organizations can apply for grants of up to $3,000 through the Arts Commission’s Tourism Promotion Awards program. This initiative allows for a significant boost in cultural tourism in Edmonds, creating opportunities for local artists and organizations. In addition, other nonprofits aiming to promote tourism may apply directly to the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee for funding. All applications are due by May 28, 2025, by 4:30 PM, ensuring ample time for interested parties to prepare their proposals.

The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee will meticulously review submissions and recommend awards for final approval by the City Council as part of the upcoming budget. This program not only supports local events but also enhances the city’s appeal as a tourist destination.
