Community Transit makes schedule changes, offers options with more than 15,000 service hours

Edmonds, WALocal News

Community Transit is enhancing its bus service starting March 29, adjusting schedules across most routes to incorporate an additional 15,000 annual service hours. This strategic move aims to provide riders with more convenient options, including earlier morning and later evening services, thus improving overall access and reducing travel times. In addition to the schedule changes, some bus stops will be added or removed to ensure easier access to key local destinations, with specific bay changes occurring at transit centers such as Lynnwood City Center Station and Seaway Transit Center. Riders are advised to check the Community Transit website for detailed information on the upcoming changes and to preview new schedules. Additionally, the agency offers tools to plan trips effectively, allowing users to enter their journey details for tailored schedules and fare information.

A subscription service is also available for real-time email and text alerts about any route changes. These enhancements are part of Community Transit’s broader Transit Changes in 2024 & Beyond plan, which aims to improve service quality and accessibility. For more information on future changes, riders can visit the agency’s website.
