Rev. Richard K. Gibson, known fondly as Dick, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025, leaving a rich legacy of service and compassion. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in April 1938, he graduated from Muskingum College and earned his Master of Divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. His pastoral career began at Mt.

Tabor Presbyterian Church before he dedicated 30 years to Terrace View Presbyterian Church, where he founded the Concern for Neighbors Food Bank in response to community needs following the Boeing layoffs. Gibson's work extended beyond local efforts; he served on the National Self Development of People Committee of the Presbyterian Church (USA), advocating for low-income groups both domestically and internationally. A passionate traveler, he instilled his love for exploration in his children, often taking them on summer camping trips. Even in retirement, he remained committed to his calling, teaching Bible study classes via Zoom just days before his passing. His dedication to social justice, education, and community service has left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Christine, three children, and numerous grandchildren.
