Lynnwood Librarys March 2 seed swap makes gardening resources available to all

Edmonds, WALocal News

The Lynnwood Library's third annual Seed Swap will take place on March 2, from 1-4 p. m. , and is open to gardeners of all levels, from novices to experts. This no-cost, drop-in event promotes community engagement by allowing participants to exchange seeds and gardening knowledge. Marni Swart, the event's founder and a certified sustainable urban agriculturist, emphasizes the importance of making gardening accessible to everyone, regardless of their living situation.

Attendees are encouraged to bring gardening-related items to share, such as books, tools, and plants, fostering a collaborative atmosphere. To enhance the experience, several door prizes will be awarded, including gift cards and native plants. The event aims to provide valuable resources and learning opportunities, with volunteers available to answer gardening questions. By increasing access to seeds and educational materials, the organizers hope to inspire more residents to grow their own food. This initiative not only supports local food sustainability but also strengthens community ties through shared interests in gardening and nature.
