The third annual Own Your Shine event celebrated the achievements of women of color in Snohomish County, attracting over 300 attendees at Everett's Delta Hotel. This gathering highlighted the significant positive impacts these women have had on their families and communities, promoting a message of empowerment and self-worth. Attendees had the opportunity to visit various vendor booths while embracing the theme that every woman has the power to shine brightly. Awards were distributed in five categories—Strength, Humility, Integrity, Nobility, and Empowerment—recognizing individuals who exemplify these qualities. Notable awardees included Ethel Stevenson-McNeal, who received the Strength Award, and Janice Green, who was honored for Empowerment.

Special awards were also given to those over 90, alongside Rising Star Honorees for youth making strides in their communities. Leilani Miller, the founder and CEO of Own Your Shine, expressed that shining brightly not only uplifts oneself but also inspires others to pursue their purpose.
