On video Sounds of Africa Festival showcases music, fashion, food

On August 17, 2024, the Washington West African Center hosted the second annual Sounds of Africa Festival at Garfield Park in Everett, celebrating the richness of African culture. The festival featured a vibrant fashion show that highlighted traditional African clothing, showcasing the artistic talents of local designers and models. In addition, a dance competition allowed participants to demonstrate their skills in traditional and contemporary African dance styles, fostering community spirit and engagement.
