February is a month full of engaging events in Edmonds, highlighted by a Story Time featuring local author Audrey Barbakoff, who will read from her picture book, "The Schlemiel Kids Save the Moon. " This family-friendly event encourages creativity with a special craft session afterward, fostering a love for reading among children. Following this, the 49th Annual DeMiero Jazz Festival will be held on March 6-7, offering a platform for more than 40 jazz choirs to perform and learn from professional artists in a non-competitive environment. The festival will include free daytime performances and culminate in a concert at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, featuring renowned vocalists like Christie Dashiell. On the cultural front, the Edmonds Movie Club will celebrate the International Day of the Dude with a fun costume contest and a screening of "The Big Lebowski," promising an entertaining evening for fans of the film.

Additionally, youth in the Puget Sound area are invited to participate in the ECA’s WE SPEAK Youth Poetry Competition, with a scholarship opportunity for finalists.
