City Summer Activities Wrapping Up for 2021

As summer draws to a close, Edmonds, WA, is concluding its popular community programs, Walkable Main Street and the Uptown Evening Market. Mayor Mike Nelson expressed pride in how these initiatives have fostered local engagement and showcased the city's offerings. The Walkable Main Street program will wrap up on September 4-5, with a street closure along Main Street to enhance pedestrian access and safety, supported by metal crowd fencing. Additional parking has been provided in various locations to ensure easy access for visitors. The final Uptown Evening Market is set for September 9, 2021, featuring live performances, including Ian Dobson's steel drum music and Mariachi Fiesta Mexicana.

A diverse group of vendors will sell local produce, crafts, and food items, with ample free parking available at Edmonds Lutheran Church.
