The City of Edmonds is hosting an online workshop on November 17, 2021, inviting residents to contribute their ideas regarding new gateway signs intended for Highway 99. This initiative is part of the broader Highway 99 Revitalization and Gateway project, which aims to enhance both the aesthetic appeal and safety of the area. The first workshop held on August 4, 2021, allowed community members to share their thoughts on the general layout of the signs, leading to the development of multiple design options that will be showcased at the upcoming workshop. Participants can easily access the meeting through a provided Zoom link, ensuring broad community involvement. Following the workshop, an online survey will be available for residents to select their preferred design, with a completion deadline set for November 31, 2021.

This feedback is crucial as it will guide the design team in finalizing the sign options. The project is scheduled to complete its design phase in early 2022, with construction expected to commence later that year. Community engagement is key to ensuring the gateway signs resonate with local values and improve safety along Highway 99.
