Edmonds Memorial Cemetery 2023 Memorial Day Observance Program

The Edmonds Memorial Cemetery is set to host its Annual Memorial Day Observance on May 29, 2023, at 11 am, a significant event honoring the 625 veterans interred at this historic site. This observance will see the graves of all veterans marked with white crosses and miniature U. S. flags, a poignant gesture to commemorate their sacrifices. Retired Marine Corporal Robert Oliverez Jr.

, the National Junior Vice Commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, will be the featured speaker, adding a personal touch to the ceremony. The event will proceed rain or shine and is expected to last approximately one hour. Limited seating will be available, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs for comfort. Visitors are invited to stroll the cemetery grounds and engage in a self-guided tour using provided walking maps. Street parking is accessible, while parking within the cemetery is reserved for those with ADA permits.
