Free Music Performance at Mikas Playground

The Edmonds Arts Commission is set to host a free live music performance at Mika's Playground on September 23, 2023, featuring the world premiere of "Mika's Song" composed by the acclaimed Ed Hartman. Scheduled for 2:30 PM, this event emphasizes community engagement by inviting audiences of all ages to experience music in a welcoming atmosphere. Hartman will perform on an innovative musical chimes installation, adding a unique auditory experience to the playground. The composer expresses hope that the performance will inspire creativity and positivity among community members. In addition to the performance, Hartman will demonstrate the instrument and discuss his music-making process, making the event both educational and entertaining.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs to enjoy the performance from the grass, as chairs are not permitted in the playground area.
