Commercial Aviation Work Group meets Dec. 9 at Boeing Field

Edmonds, WALocal News

The Commercial Aviation Work Group will conduct its fifth public hybrid meeting on December 9 at Boeing Field, addressing the long-term aviation and transportation needs in Washington. The group’s November report strongly urges Sound Transit to establish a Link light rail station close to Paine Field to enhance passenger access. “It is anticipated that Paine Field will be a short- to medium-term solution for additional commercial passenger air capacity in western Washington,” the report stated. The meeting will feature a public comment segment, allowing both in-person attendees and Zoom participants to voice their opinions. Comments can also be submitted anytime through the work group’s online contact form.

Participants will be allotted two minutes each for their remarks during the 30-minute comment session. Additionally, free temporary internet access is available statewide for those without broadband service. This meeting reflects ongoing efforts to address the region's increasing aviation demands while minimizing environmental impacts.
