Ways to support the Edmonds Toy Shop during the holidays

Edmonds, WALocal News

The Edmonds Toy Shop program anticipates serving over 500 households this winter by providing holiday gifts to local children. Families with children under 9 can shop in person, while those aged 10 to 17 will receive gift cards to ensure they can participate. Local businesses, including Stranded by the Sea and Edmonds Bookshop, are actively supporting the initiative through fundraising events and donation drives. Last year, the Toy Shop program assisted more than 950 children, reflecting the growing demand for its services. The Edmonds Tree Lighting on November 29 will also serve as a collection point for new toys and books, further engaging the community.

Partnerships with local organizations, such as the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce, enhance the program's reach and effectiveness. This year's Toy Shop is expected to be the largest yet, underscoring the significance of community involvement during the holidays. The program not only provides gifts but also fosters a spirit of giving and support among residents.
