Edmonds, WALocal News

On November 15, local residents in Edmonds showed their generosity by contributing to a food and clothing drive organized by American Legion Post 66 and VFW Post 8870. The drive resulted in over 300 pounds of food, 100 pounds of hygiene items, and $200 in cash donations, all of which will aid the Edmonds Food Bank and Lynnwood Heroes Café. Held at the Wilcox Construction Red Barn, the event provided an accessible drop-off point for community members. American Legion Post Commander Dan Mullene praised the ongoing support from Wilcox Construction, emphasizing the ease of donating. Both veteran organizations plan to conduct additional events to support veterans in need, focusing on essential items like clothing and hygiene products.

The Edmonds Food Bank encourages online donations, as well as in-person contributions during their operating hours. These efforts reflect a commitment to addressing the needs of the local veteran community. Such initiatives highlight the importance of community involvement in supporting those who have served.
