Edmonds Chamber announces partnership to preserve tree lighting ceremony launches fundraising campaign for local events

Edmonds, WALocal News

The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce announced a partnership with local businesses to ensure the 2025 Edmonds Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place on Nov. 29, despite rising costs and city budget constraints. This initiative highlights the community's commitment to maintaining traditions during challenging times. The Chamber has also launched a year-end fundraising campaign through the Edmonds Chamber Foundation to support other key community events, including the Fourth of July Parade and Halloween Trick-or-Treat Night. These events are crucial for fostering community spirit and connection, drawing thousands of participants each year.

Ryan Crowther, president and CEO of the Chamber, noted that the financial pressures are not unique to Edmonds but affect communities statewide. Additionally, the Chamber faces specific costs, such as $6,000 for postage and stationery for the Edmonds Santa Letters program. The foundation operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, allowing donations to be tax-deductible and directly support event production. Community members are encouraged to contribute to the campaign through Give Butter or by donating Forever Stamps for Santa Letters.
