Get help with senior and disabled property tax exemption at workshop Nov. 19, 20

Edmonds, WALocal News

On November 19 and 20, the Edmonds Waterfront Center will provide workshops to assist moderate-income seniors in applying for property tax reductions. To qualify, seniors must have a household net disposable income below $75,000. During these workshops, volunteers will help participants confirm their eligibility and fill out necessary application forms. Many homeowners report substantial tax reductions, with some seeing their property taxes cut in half. Although this program has existed statewide for years, a significant number of seniors have not taken advantage of it.

In addition to the workshops, seniors can drop in at the County Assessor's office in Everett for assistance without an appointment. The application form and detailed instructions for Snohomish County residents are available online. This initiative aims to alleviate financial burdens on seniors in the community.
