Edmonds resident Kimberly Shay is set to launch the Edmonds Cars & Coffee event on Dec. 6, offering a platform for car enthusiasts to meet and share their passion. The event runs from 9-11 a. m. in the parking lot of Salish Crossing and supports The Forgotten Children’s Fund.

The first 100 attendees bringing a new unwrapped toy will receive a complimentary coffee and doughnut, creating an incentive for charitable giving. Shay, a broker with Windermere Real Estate, has nurtured the idea for over three years, driven by her love for classic cars and community involvement. She owns a 1957 sapphire blue MGA and regularly participates in local car shows. Additional Cars & Coffee events are planned, with a themed gathering on Feb. 8 benefiting the Edmonds Food Bank, highlighting a commitment to local causes.

Regular meetups will be held on the first and third Sundays from April through September. Attendees can find more information on the Edmonds Cars & Coffee Facebook and Instagram pages.
