In a tightly contested match, Mount Vernon defeated Edmonds-Woodway 3-2, securing a spot in the final consolation round of the 3A District 1 volleyball tournament. The Bulldogs, seeded 10th, will face top-seeded Stanwood at 10 a. m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, with the winner advancing to the state tournament.

Edmonds-Woodway concluded their season with a final record of 12-7. Meanwhile, the fifth-seeded Snohomish Panthers ended Meadowdale's season with a 3-1 victory. Meadowdale finished the season with an 8-11 record. Snohomish will have a chance to qualify for the state tournament when they play second-seeded Ferndale at noon on the same day. The matches will take place at Stanwood High School, highlighting the competitive nature of the district tournament.

Both outcomes mark significant milestones in local high school volleyball.
