Community input sought on potential Edmonds School District boundary changes

The Edmonds School District is preparing for potential changes to school attendance boundaries, targeting the 2028 school year to improve enrollment balance and prepare for a new middle school opening in fall 2028. To gather community insights, the District has launched a boundary revision survey, which will close on November 14 at 5 p. m. Additionally, applications for a Boundary Review Committee are open until November 21 at 5 p. m.

, inviting students, families, staff, and community members to participate. The committee will collaborate with FLO Analytics, a technical consultant, to review current boundaries and propose adjustments. This effort aims to ensure equitable access to education as the district transitions sixth grade from elementary to middle school. The committee's formation and subsequent meetings will occur this winter, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in shaping educational policies.
