Improved outage map to help PUD customers navigate storm season

Edmonds, WALocal News

Snohomish County PUD has introduced a revamped outage map ahead of storm season to enhance the customer experience. The updated map allows users to zoom into specific locations and view outages grouped by incident, offering a comprehensive overview. Key information, including estimated restoration times and the number of customers affected, is now prominently displayed. PUD Chief Customer Officer John Hoffman stated that customers requested more personalized outage information, and this update fulfills that need. In addition to the map, customers can sign up for proactive outage text messages through their MySnoPUD profiles.

The PUD advises customers to prepare for possible outages by assembling emergency kits and creating backup plans. Historical data indicates that outages tend to increase during storm seasons, making these preparations crucial. For further details on outage preparedness, customers can visit snopud. com/outages.
