Prep girls soccer Losses dont matter to Lynnwood teammates, who say they feel like family

Edmonds, WALocal News

The Lynnwood Royals girls soccer team finishes their 2025 season winless, marking a staggering four-year stretch without a victory, now approaching 70 consecutive losses. Senior players Valeria Jaramillo, Kaleigh Stull, Camila Rocha, and Lujain Somon stress the significance of their team bonds over their lack of wins. "We’re just like a big, huge family," Jaramillo said, emphasizing the emotional connections formed throughout their time together. Despite being outscored 121-3 this season, the team's spirit remains high during practices and games. Stull, who has played for the Royals since her freshman year, expressed her love for soccer and highlighted the supportive community.

Rocha joined the team in her junior year and appreciates the connections she’s made. The seniors will be honored during their final home match against Shorecrest on October 27, a night dedicated to celebrating their commitment and friendship. This event underscores the resilience and dedication of the players, who continue to show up despite their challenging record.
