Economic Alliance to host webinar on World Cup-related community grant program

Economic Alliance Snohomish County (EASC) will host a webinar on Oct. 30 to assist local businesses in applying for the newly established Activate Snohomish Community Grant Program. Funded by the Seattle Foundation and supported by the Washington State Department of Commerce, this initiative allocates $85,000 in grants to enhance local communities and businesses ahead of the FIFA World Cup 26 in Seattle. The funding is divided into two tracks: Community Activation Grants and Small Business Grants, aimed at amplifying local readiness and visibility. The webinar, scheduled from 3-4 p.

m. via Microsoft Teams, will review eligibility criteria, application requirements, and program goals, providing an opportunity for attendees to ask questions. Applications for the grant program are open now and will be accepted through Dec. 1, 2025, with award notifications starting on Jan. 19, 2026.
