Local Girl Scouts hosting Autumn Festival at Lynnwoods New Life Church Oct. 25

Edmonds, WALocal News

The fifth annual Autumn Festival, organized by Girl Scouts from Service Unit 245, will take place from 3-5 p. m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, at New Life Church in Lynnwood. The event will feature 15 themed Trunk or Treat stations, a holiday market showcasing baked goods and crafts, as well as a pumpkin patch, face painting, and henna.

Organizer Ellen Govan stated that the festival aims to engage the public and create a fun atmosphere for local youth and their families. This initiative seeks to shift the narrative about Girl Scouts, reminding the community that their activities extend beyond cookie sales. Participation in such events fosters community ties and enriches local culture. The festival not only provides entertainment but also supports local vendors and artisans. This gathering reflects the commitment of youth organizations to actively contribute to community well-being.

Events like this are vital for strengthening community bonds and promoting family-friendly activities.
