Remembering the legacy of Edmonds Historical Museum volunteer Margaret Wilcox

Margaret Wilcox, a beloved volunteer at the Edmonds Historical Museum, passed away on September 11, 2025, after decades of dedicated service to the community. She and her husband Mike were instrumental in the success of the Edmonds Museum Summer Market, working tirelessly every Saturday for over twenty years. Their efforts included setting up barricades, directing vendor traffic, and supporting the Market Manager. Former museum directors highlighted Margaret's genuine care for the community and her willingness to help in any capacity. After Mike's death in 2017, Margaret continued to play a vital role at the museum and market, providing invaluable knowledge and support.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, she was one of the first volunteers to return, demonstrating her commitment to the community. Her laughter and guidance will be deeply missed by her fellow volunteers and museum staff. Margaret's legacy serves as an inspiration for community involvement and dedication.
